About the scientist:

J. Robert Oppenheimer (1904-1967) was an American theoretical physicist and one of the leading figures in the Manhattan Project, which developed the first atomic bomb during World War II. He is often called the "father of the atomic bomb" for his crucial role in the project's success. Oppenheimer's scientific achievements also include his work on the theory of black holes and his contributions to quantum mechanics. Despite his scientific success, Oppenheimer became a controversial figure due to his leftist political views, which led to his security clearance being revoked during the Red Scare. He lived from 1904 to 1967.
