About the scientist:

Ada Lovelace (1815-1852) was a pioneering mathematician and writer, widely considered as the first computer programmer. Lovelace was fascinated by Charles Babbage's Analytical Engine and worked closely with him, creating an algorithm that would enable the machine to perform complex calculations, and in doing so, earning her place in history as the first computer programmer. Lovelace's vision and foresight are remarkable, as she predicted that computers could be used for more than just calculation, and envisioned the development of computer-generated music and art. Despite passing away at a young age of 36, Lovelace's legacy lives on as an inspiration to women in science and technology, who continue to push boundaries and break barriers.
